Eyana Fomby received her Bachelor of Arts degree in Music from University of California, Santa Barbara studying Ethnomusicology. Thereafter, she decided to change course to pursue a degree in music education. Thus, began her graduate studies at Azusa Pacific University. Eyana has participated in the APU Wind Ensemble and Symphonic Band, Lancer Marching Band and Concert Band at Pasadena City College, Tournament of Roses Honor Band, Chamber Ensembles, and Orchestra as a flutist and piccoloist. She has studied flute with Jamie Pedrini - principle flutist of the California Philharmonic and Santa Barbara Symphony Orchestra and Gary Woodward - principal flutist of The Los Angeles Opera Orchestra and other major orchestras. Outside of APU and PCC, Eyana is also the administrative assistant for the Tournament of Roses Honor Band. Eyana is currently a full-time student at APU pursing her Masters in Music Education. She is a graduate teaching assistant supporting professors with undergraduate music education course work and California Music Educators Association (CMEA) conferences. Eyana is also a teaching assistant for the Azusa Conservatory of Music.
